摘要: In conventional single-cell cloning process, it is difficult to ensure that the obtained cell clones are each populated from a single cell. Therefore several repeats of single-cell cloning are usually required in order to increase the confidence level of obtaining monoclonal cell populations. Here, we present a microfluidic chip which can facilitate the single-cell cloning process by its ability to high-efficiently prepare single cells and populate the cells in a way that their monoclonal status is ensured. We also demonstrated that the chip-generated monoclonal cell populations can be transferred from the chip to a conventional multi-well plate, showing the potential of our chip to become a useful tool for applications where generating monoclonal cells is need.
