摘要: Acupuncture is widely practiced in complementary and alternative medicine, and its clinical indications are increasing.1 Although acupuncture is considered a safe procedure, cases of adverse events have occurred, and central nervous system infections are an adverse event worth studying. Among cases of central nervous system infection after acupuncture, spinal epidural abscesses are the most commonly reported. By contrast, few cases of intracranial infection after acupuncture have been reported. In 2019, Priola et al.2 reported the first case in the peer-reviewed literature of an intracranial abscess after acupuncture. We report another case to contribute to clinical knowledge.
