This study monitored ambient air particles and the metallic elements Cu, Cr, Cd, Pb, and Zn in total suspended particulate (TSP) concentrations and dry deposition during the day and nighttime sampling period at a traffic sampling site in central Taiwan from 2012 March to 2013 February. The dry deposition flux ratios and seasonal concentration variations of ambient air particles and these metallic elements are also discussed. The results indicate that for all the elements, except for Zn, the highest average concentrations in TSP occurred in the spring and summer, while the lowest average was in the fall and winter for both day and nighttime sampling periods.
