Androgenetic alopecia (AGA), one of the most common types of hair loss, is associated with oxidative stress, inflammation and aging. Derinat, a transient receptor potential canonical channels (TRPCs) inhibitor, restrains TRPCs-mediated increase intracellular Ca2+ signaling, which initiates the skin aging process with intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation. This study investigated whether Derinat protected skin from oxidative stress-induced damage and aging, thus inhibiting AGA pathogenesis.
